Yet another great Tuesday for new releases on Zunior. We've got a brand new funk bomb from Winnipeg-based Moses Mayes and quiet treat from Montreal's Baby Eagle. In the case of the new one from Baby Eagle, Hero Hill says "Dog Weather toes the line between folk and feedback, Pavement and Neil, as Lambke gladly puts toes in both pools. The chunkier riffs and distorted notes (“Haybale Song”) and even horns (“Thistle in Bloom”) balance desolate, Jon Swift drifter anthems like the beautiful “Dog Failure” and “Last Song of the Night” and really make Dog Weather a full record, not just sketches inspired by the same muse." Scott Pilgrim Movie Out Today -

The character was originally inspired by a song the Plumtree put out on this 7" single way back in 1996. It's funny how things go in the world of rock and it's great to see Plumtree on the official movie soundtrack also.

We've got the brand new one from Winchester Warm. CBC Radio's Amanda Putz had a few great things to say about the band - "The surprise of the night was dynamic duo Winchester Warm. Jon Pearce on acoustic guitar/vocals and Matt Godin on drums/vocals was all this band needed to produce a tight, full-band sound. New EP from Sister (ex-Plumtree) -
